In February, cold winter weather put upward pressure on power prices throughout Europe. Power prices on the spot market of the German power exchange doubled during the month. Higher volatility in the spot market, increasing fuel and emission prices helped push one-year futures up by 1 EUR/MWh (+4%)....

EIC Electricity SA (“EIC”) announces that it has, based on pre-emptive rights under a shareholders’ agreement, sold its 44,6% participation in the German multi-site power supplier Ensys AG, Frankfurt, to the management of the company on February 11, 2005
