Strong growth in Wind Power
French wind developer Theolia recorded a net profit of EUR 6.3 million in first half 2007, compared to a loss of EUR 4.1 million in the first semester 2006.
Suzlon received a 400 MW contract from Horizon Wind Energy. Gamesa signed a EUR 430 million contract with Endesa for the supply of 500 MW wind turbines. Carbon fiber producer Zoltek purchased an acrylic fiber plant in Mexico. Zoltek will modify the plant and use it for carbon fiber production.
